General Information

Below are some common questions about our products

Can I order for my home?

Yes — absolutely.

While our collections are trusted by leading hospitality venues around the world, our cordless table lamps are equally suited to refined residential interiors. Whether you are styling a dining table, bedside, garden terrace or reading nook, our designs bring the same elevated ambience, performance and craftsmanship into your home.

Every piece is engineered with premium materials, warm atmospheric LED technology and long-lasting rechargeable batteries — allowing you to enjoy beautiful, cable-free illumination wherever you choose to place it.

Do you include charging pads with the lamps?

No — our charging pads are sold separately.

Many of our customers already have compatible charging infrastructure in place, particularly within hospitality settings. Many of our home users already have compatible Qi certified wireless charging pads, often used to charge the latest mobile phones. As a result, customers can order the lamps alone without requiring additional charging accessories.

For new projects, we offer a range of dedicated wireless charging solutions designed to complement our cordless collections — including individual wireless charging pads and multi-lamp charging stations. Our team will be pleased to advise on the most suitable configuration based on your volume and operational setup.

Should you be unsure which charging solution is appropriate for your venue or home, we would be delighted to guide you.

I already have a Qi wireless charging pad, can I use this to recharge the lamps?

Yes — provided your charging pad is Qi-certified and delivers sufficient power output.

Our latest generation lamps are engineered with integrated Qi wireless charging technology, allowing them to be recharged using compatible Qi charging pads. This offers flexibility for clients who already have wireless charging infrastructure in place.

For optimal performance, we recommend:

  • A Qi-certified charging pad
  • A minimum 10W output power supply
  • Stable surface alignment to ensure consistent contact

Please note that older or low-output chargers may result in slower charging speeds. For hospitality environments with higher daily usage, our dedicated commercial charging solutions remain the most efficient and reliable option.

If you are unsure whether your existing charger is compatible, our team would be delighted to review the specification and advise accordingly.

Do you offer samples?

Yes — we are pleased to offer samples.

As a premium manufacturer serving the global hospitality market, our sample programme is reserved for hospitality businesses, interior designers, procurement companies and registered trade partners. This allows us to ensure dedicated allocation and professional support for commercial projects.

All samples supplied are brand-new production pieces and are therefore chargeable. Should you proceed with a qualifying project order, we are often able to discuss crediting sample costs accordingly.

If you represent a hospitality venue or trade partner and would like to request a sample, our team would be delighted to assist.

Do you accept custom orders?

Yes — we most certainly do.

We regularly collaborate with both hospitality and residential clients to create bespoke finishes, shade variations, branding applications and tailored technical specifications. Whether you require a specific colour palette, material adjustment or complete redesign, our team will work closely with you to bring your vision to life with precision and refinement.

Please note that custom projects are subject to minimum order quantities (MOQs), which vary depending on the nature and complexity of your requirements. Our team will be pleased to advise on feasibility, lead times and volume thresholds once we understand your brief.

Should you wish to explore a bespoke project, we would be delighted to discuss your project in further detail.

Do you have a repair service?

Yes — we certainly do.

We are committed to the longevity and sustainability of our products, and we proudly offer a dedicated repair service to support our clients long after purchase. Whether your lamp requires a battery replacement, LED module update, charging component repair or general servicing, our technical team will assess the issue and advise on the most appropriate solution.

Where possible, we aim to extend the life of every product — a principle that reflects both our quality standards and our environmental responsibility.

Should you require assistance, please contact our team with your order details and photographs of the issue, and we will be delighted to guide you through the next steps.

Can the cordless lamps be used outdoors?

Yes, our cordless lamps are designed to be used both indoors and outdoors. Please check your chosen lamps specification for IP Rating.

What is the life expectancy of the lamps?

All of our lamps are fitted with a rechargeable lithium battery. Life expectancy depends on the lamp models.

Our regular lamp models are equipped with a Li-PO Rechargeable Battery (1350mah). These typically have a life expectancy of 500 charges or roughly 1-2 years depending on usage.

Our premium lamp models (Charm, Sofia, Luxe, Liberty, Regency, Cleo) are equipped with our Li-FePO4 Rechargeable Battery (4000mah). These typically have a life expectancy of 2,000+ charges or roughly 5+ years depending on usage.

Please note; lithium batteries like to be charged. Prolonged inactivity or operating in high temperature, may impair performance and shorten the battery life.

Can your products be used in my country?

More than likely, yes. Our charging equipment can be used around the world. It accepts a mains input from 100V–240V. We will supply you with a USB cable or the correct power adaptor for your country.

What is the light source used?

All our cordless lamps use an energy efficient LED bulb. Please check the information on the product page for full details on which LED bulb is installed within the lamp. The LED operating life is estimated to last 50,000 hours.

What's included?

All cordless lamps are supplied without charging accessories. You will need to select your preferred charging option. When you place a cordless lamp in your cart/basket you will be prompted to choose your charging option. We have various different charging options to choose from, each suitable for charging multiple quantity of lamps. The lamps will be delivered fully charged and ready to use.

Is my cordless lamp covered by a warranty?

Insight Cordless Lighting warrants all products sold to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. Insight Cordless Lighting shall repair or replace any part which is found to be defective within the warranty period. This warranty does not include consumables such as battery packs or light sources (bulbs). Our battery manufacturers warrant their batteries to be free from defects in workmanship and material under normal use and service conditions for a period of one (1) year after the date of purchase.

Recharging your lamps

Below are some common questions about recharging lamps.

How often should I recharge my lamps?

Recharge frequency depends on your brightness setting and daily usage.

Our cordless table lamps are engineered for extended runtime, offering approximately:

  • 20–42 hours on highest brightness
  • Up to 120–140 hours on lowest brightness (Eco mode)

For most hospitality environments operating 6–8 hours per service, we recommend:

  • High brightness: Recharge every 2–3 days
  • Medium brightness: Recharge every 3–5 days
  • Low / ambient settings: Recharge once per week or less

To ensure seamless service, many venues implement a simple rotation system, charging a portion of lamps each day.

For optimal battery longevity, we recommend recharging before the battery is fully depleted and using only approved Insight charging equipment.

How long does it take to charge the lamps?

It will generally take between 5-6 hours to charge our regular lamp models. Our premium lamp models will take a little longer between 8-9 hours due to the larger battery installed. However please check the information on the product page for specific times. Recharging time can be influenced by temperature and humidity. A hot ambient temperature may increase charging time.

How do I know my lamp is fully charged?

When the lamps are fully charged the table lamp will glow green. When the table lamps are still charging they will glow red.

Control Modes

Below are common questions regarding our latest upgrades

How do the lighting zones work?

*Available only with our RF Remote (Premium)

Our lighting zones are designed to give you refined, intelligent control over multiple lamps — effortlessly and elegantly.

Each lamp can be assigned to a specific “zone” using our remote control system. This allows you to group lamps together and control them simultaneously, rather than adjusting each one individually.

For example:

  • Zone 1 — Restaurant dining area
  • Zone 2 — Bar counter
  • Zone 3 — Private dining room
  • Zone 4 — Terrace or outdoor seating

Once grouped, you can dim, brighten or switch an entire zone on or off with a single touch. This provides seamless ambience control across different areas of your venue — particularly valuable within hospitality environments where lighting must evolve throughout service.

Our latest systems allow for up to four independent lighting zones, offering flexibility without complexity.

Should you require assistance setting up your zones, our team would be delighted to guide you through the simple configuration process.

How does the ECO Smart Mode work?

*Available only with our RF Remote (Premium)

ECO Smart Mode is designed to deliver intelligent energy efficiency without compromising ambience — a feature particularly valued within hospitality environments.

When activated, ECO Smart Mode allows your lamps to operate on an automated daily cycle. You can select either a 6-hour or 8-hour operational window. Once switched on, the lamp will automatically turn off after the selected duration and will then reactivate at the same time the following day.

This creates a seamless routine for restaurants, bars, hotels and terraces — ensuring lighting is consistently ready for service while preventing unnecessary overnight battery usage.

The result is:

  • Extended battery longevity
  • Reduced charging frequency
  • Improved operational efficiency
  • Consistent ambience, day after day

ECO Smart Mode is a discreet yet powerful feature, engineered to support both sustainability and practicality in demanding commercial settings.

Should you require guidance on activating ECO Smart Mode, our team will be delighted to assist.

What is the main difference between IR and RF mode?

IR (Infrared) Mode requires the remote to be pointed directly at the lamp and is designed for individual control.

RF (Radio Frequency) Mode does not require line-of-sight and allows you to control multiple lamps simultaneously, including grouping and zone management — ideal for restaurants, hotels and larger venues.

Which mode is best for me?

Choose IR Mode if you require simple, individual lamp control in a smaller space.
Choose RF Mode (Premium) if you operate multiple lamps, require zone control, or wish to adjust colour temperature for elevated ambience refinement.

Is RF mode more complicated to use?

Not at all. While RF offers advanced features such as grouping and colour adjustment, day-to-day operation is intuitive and designed for hospitality staff efficiency.

Can I switch between IR and RF mode on my lamp?

Yes — with certain models.

If you have purchased our RF Mode (Premium) cordless table lamp, you have the flexibility to switch the lamp into IR Mode if required.

To do so, simply:

Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the lamp base for approximately 4 seconds.

The lamp will change operating mode, allowing you to use standard IR remote control functionality.

This feature offers added versatility for venues that may wish to simplify control in certain areas, or where mixed-use operation is preferred.

Important to Note

If you have purchased an IR Mode lamp, this operates on dedicated infrared hardware and cannot be upgraded or switched to RF Mode.

RF Mode requires specific internal components designed for radio frequency communication, group control, and extended range functionality.

In Summary

  • RF Mode (Premium) Lamp → Can switch to IR Mode
  • IR Mode Lamp → Cannot switch to RF Mode

If you are unsure which model you have, or require guidance on selecting the correct control option for your venue, our team would be delighted to assist.

Do I need line-of-sight to operate the lamp?
  • IR Mode: Yes, the remote must be aimed at the lamp.
  • RF Mode: No. The signal works through furniture, table settings and obstacles.

For busy hospitality environments, RF mode provides greater ease and efficiency during service.

Can I control multiple lamps at the same time?
  • IR Mode: Lamps are controlled individually.
  • RF Mode: Yes. You can synchronise multiple lamps, create zones (e.g. Bar, Dining Room, Terrace), and adjust them instantly.

This is particularly valuable for venues operating 20+ lamps.

What warm white colour options are available?

RF Mode lamps offer adjustable fine-dining colour temperatures:

  • 2000K – Deep candlelight glow
  • 2400K – Warm golden ambience
  • 2700K – Classic refined warm white

These settings allow venues to curate atmosphere throughout lunch, early evening and dinner service.

IR models operate at a fixed warm white setting - 2700K only (depending on model specification).

What is the operating range of each mode?
  • IR Mode: Approximately 3–5 metres.
  • RF Mode: Up to 20–30 metres, depending on environment.

RF is therefore recommended for larger dining spaces or multi-room venues.

Is RF mode more suitable for fine dining restaurants?

Yes and no.. RF Mode has been specifically designed for high-end hospitality environments where ambience consistency and operational efficiency are essential. However these features can also be enjoyed by users in their own home. It allows instant adjustment of lighting colours and brightness across an entire location, including a 3 storey house!

Can I mix IR and RF lamps in the same venue?

Yes, however they will operate independently.

IR lamps cannot be grouped with RF lamps. For full synchronisation across a space, all lamps should be RF Mode.

Does RF mode affect battery life?

No. Battery performance remains consistent. Both IR and RF models are engineered for extended operating time suitable for full service periods.

Troubleshooting

Here are some common questions about issues and how to resolve.

My lamp is fully charged (charging for more than 9 hours) but not turning green?

Please kindly remove the lamp from the charging pad and unplug the cable. Leave for 30 seconds and then replug the charging pad in. This will allow the lamp to link again to the charging pad. You could also try wiping the base of the lamp and charging pad surface with a dry soft cloth. This will remove any debris or static build up from charging. Please place the lamp back on the charging pad. If this still does not help please contact our team.

The charging pad is inactive, with no indicator light.

Check the charging pad is connected properly with the power supply. Check the power adaptor being used is working correctly. Please ensure the power adaptor being used is the power adaptor we supplied.
